Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad

This recipe is adapted from a recipe from my Mom. It is very tasty and gets high praise at parties. It’s a nice alternative when you need to bring a covered dish to a gathering.

As always, organic is healthier and tastier!

4 Cups chopped broccoli

2 Cups seedless grapes halved

1 Cup thinly sliced celery

1 Cup chopped apple

½ to 1 Cup slivered almonds toasted

½ Cup thinly sliced green onions

1 small can sliced water chestnuts

Kosher sea salt to taste

Dressing

1C mayo

¼ C turbinado sugar

1 Tbsp red wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

Makes 15-18 servings

Use your imagination. Your salad can be an all green theme or you can use red apples and grapes for a holiday theme. Either way it is nutritious and delicious!
